What should my dog bring for overnights or daycare?
For boarding stays, you’re welcome to bring your dog’s bed and blankets. We just ask that all personal items are washable and clearly labeled with your pet’s name.
We recommend not bringing any valuable items, as they might get lost or damaged.
Please bring enough food for your dog’s entire stay, divided into pre-portioned amounts for each meal.
Is there an age limit for dogs?
We welcome dogs of all ages. Even those as young as a few months as long as they've completed their puppy vaccine series. Although we do not have an age cap, some senior dogs (especially those with preexisting health conditions) may not do well in a Day Care or Boarding environment and if we feel that their stay may cause a health concern for your senior dog we will discuss this with you on a case by case basis.
If your dog is 12 years of age or older please call for details.
Does my dog need to be spayed or neutered?
Generally, all dogs must be spayed or neutered by 8 months of age to participate in our Day Care and Boarding programs. However, we may be able to accommodate unspayed or unneutered dogs with a limited play schedule depending on the dog.
Please call or email and ask for details.
What does my dog do all day?
Social dogs spend time playing with dogs of similar size and temperament in small groups, rotating playmates frequently. Your dog eats, drinks and rests separately. If you like, outdoor walks may be arranged for a nominal fee, see here for details.
Where will my dog sleep?
Each dogs is paired with one of our trainers. Each night, their trainer buddy will bring them home with them overnight so your dog is never alone.
Can I check on my dog during a stay? If so, how do I do that?
Absolutely, you may contact our front desk staff between the hours of 8am and 8pm EST or e-mail at info@yodasplace.com
We'll be sure to get back to you as soon as we can with pup updates!
You can also sign up for daily pupcards as an add-on for any boarding packages.
What happens in case of emergency?
Our standard policy is to make every effort to contact you. We will seek medical attention, when necessary, first from your regular veterinarian, then from a trusted local veterinarian or twenty-four hour Vet Hospital. We will continually attempt to contact you and your emergency contacts with updates.
Please make sure that your contact information is current and correct.
What vaccinations does my dog need to stay at Yoda's Place?
All dogs must have written proof of current Rabies, Distemper Parvo, and Bordatella (every 6 months) vaccinations before your dog’s visit.
